Oral presentations and poster exhibitions and discussion forums will be organized in (partly) parallel sessions, which are:


  • Session 1 - Food and flowers production in/for the cities: urban horticulture in developing and developed countries, for food and flower production;
  • Session 2 - Urban landscape horticulture: public and private ornamental green in the cities;
  • Session 3 - Ecophysiology and vegetation management in urban environment: including pest management, environmental stresses and plant nutrition;
  • Session 4 - Green buildings: green roofs, vertical gardens, and interior landscape: innovative solutions for green cities and better environment;
  • Session 5 - Social and psychological role of horticulture in the urban environment: influence of plants on human behaviour and human interaction in communities, physical health, and perceptions of comfort, including Horticultural Therapy;
  • Session 6 - Plants in historical gardens: varieties conservation, introduction and management;
  • Session 7 - Urban horticulture meets architecture: points of view and meeting points of landscape horticulturists and architects.

INSTRUCTION FOR PRESENTATIONS

Paper Presenting Authors’ oral presentation

The official language of the Conference is English (no facilities for simultaneous translations).
All slides must be in English: non-English speaking authors who do not have a good command of English are advised to seek assistance from someone who has.
Time for presentation is 15 minutes (including time for questions).
Exact time and date of your presentation will appear on the final programme updated web page.

Paper Presenting Authors’ poster presentation

Every day a dedicated poster session of one hour is scheduled during the conference so that attendees can meet and talk with the authors of the posters.
Presenters must be available to answer questions during those designated poster sessions.
