Conference Venue
The Department of Agroenvironmental Science and Technology (DiSTA) of the University of Bologna is sited at Faculty of Agriculture in Viale Fanin 40-50, near the “Bologna Agrifood Center” (CAAB). Visit

The DiSTA is about 6 km from downtown Bologna.
Shuttle bus will be provided by the Conference Organisation and will leave every morning from Bologna railway station and city centre to the Conference site.
The same service will be provided back at the end of the last session in the afternoon.

Standard Audio-visual Set-up in Meeting Rooms
Every session room will have a videoprojector with PC. Speakers may inquire about ordering additional audio/visual equipment by contacting helpdesk@sistemacongressi.com.
The Conference does not provide computers for any speaker. When giving an electronic presentation, speakers must deliver their own USB pen to the Slide Centre provided at the conference site. |

Internet access
An Internet point will be available during the Conference.
Because of security reasons, anyone planning to use the Internet connection must present a copy of their passport on-site at the registration desk
Wi-Fi will be not available. |

Poster Session
Posters must be in English and will remain displayed throughout the Conference; poster sessions are foreseen also during coffee breaks and lunches. |

Certificates will be given to all registered participants at the Registration Desk on the last day. |

Changes
The Scientific and Organizing Secretariats reserve the right to change the Conference program for technical and/or scientific reasons. |

Badges
Badges must always be visibly worn during the scientific session, coffee breaks and lunches at Conference site but also during social program and technical visits. |

Coffee Breaks and Lunches
Coffee breaks and lunches will be served free of charges at the Conference to fully registered participants wearing their badges.
Accompanying Persons have no access to scientific session nor to coffee breaks and lunches.
Please note that vegetarian dishes will be on daily menu; for other special needs, we will try to serve a great variety of food so that it will be easier for you to get some alternatives in case of special diet restriction. |

Liability
In registering for the Conference, participants agree that neither the Scientific Committee nor the Organizing Secretariat assumes any liability. Participants should therefore organize their own health and travel insurance. |

Banks - Currency
All banks in Italy exchange foreign currency and traveller's cheques.
Banks are open from Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 1.30 pm and most of them also open for one hour early in the afternoon.
The local currency is € (Euro). There is no restriction on the import of foreign currency into Italy and there are no limits for traveller's cheques. Automatic teller machines and exchange offices are readily available. Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept major credit cards but check first. |

Shopping
Shops in the centre of Bologna are open from Tuesday to Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. and on Monday afternoon. On Sunday and public holidays shops are generally closed.
Right in front of DiSTA you have the large “Parco Meraville” Shopping Mall with a free outdoor car-park. |

Electrical Supply
Electrical Supply Voltage is 220V 50Hz. Electrical sockets have two round holes. Appliances designed to operate on 110/120 volts need a voltage converter and a plug adapter. |

Mail and TeleCommunication
Post offices display the sign PT in blue on a yellow background. At a PT office you can telephone, send mail, telegrams and faxes. For local calls you can buy phone cards here or in any tobacconist. When calling abroad from Italy, you must first dial the International code "00", then country code and private number. Italy Country Code is +39 and Bologna City Code is 051. Emergency numbers: Police 113, Ambulance 118, Fire 115. |

Tipping
Tipping up to 10% for outstanding service is of course accepted, but not necessarily expected in Italian restaurants, hotels and taxis. |

Climate
Due to its geographic position, the city enjoys a pleasant climate year-round (ranging from 20°C to 30°C in summer and 0°C to 7°C in winter). June in Bologna can be very nice and hot during the day - temperatures are around 20 to 26 ºC ( 66-78Fº) - but chilly or humid at night. Remember meeting room temperatures and personal comfort zones vary widely. It is recommended that you bring a sweater or jacket to the sessions.

Marconi”, take the convenient shuttle service called AEROBUS BLQ http://www.atc.bo.it/CMS_Software/XMLEngine.asp?p=0661684224 to the Railway Station stop then take the bus No. 35 (direction AGRARIA) to the last stop (AGRARIA stop). € 5,00 one way, tickets can be purchased on board.

The main station in Bologna is a few minutes from the Conference Venue by bus. Tickets should be bought before boarding. Currently, a one-hour journey ticket costs € 0.90 and it can be even cheaper if you purchase a discount pass for longer periods of travel.
Take the bus No. 35 (direction AGRARIA) at the Railway Station in Bologna to the last stop (AGRARIA stop).

If you are in Piazza Maggiore, in the old town centre, get on bus No. 14C (direction PILASTRO) or No. 20 (direction PILASTRO). Then change at the bus stop “A. Negri” (ask the driver), and take the bus No. 35 to the last stop (AGRARIA stop).
